May It Be

Posted in Entertainment, Life, School

I used to think that I didn’t mind spoilers. But that all changed as I watched Detective Academy Q on veoh. Gahh, the spoilers there make me frustrated and sad. But now, I just full-screen it and ignore the comments.

Anyway, it’s May already. I’m not really expecting my grades until the end of May, though. But luckily, the 2008-09 course calendar is up already, so I can plot my timetable. Next year’s schedule seems alright because most of my classes are in three-hour seminars. Unlike the past years, where I had to find room for both lectures and tutorials, and sometimes ended up only having one or two hours of classes in a day, these three-hour chunks are easier to plot. But still, my final semester is looking a bit heavy.

I watched Iron Man the other day with a couple of friends. It was a bit of a spur-of-the-moment thing, so I didn’t really know what the movie was about (other than a superhero). Thus, the first thirty minutes or so really had me wondering “Are we really watching Iron Man?” I didn’t think it was an amazing movie though, but then again, I’m not much of a movie person.

On an unrelated note, I hate my job. Reallyyyyyyy hate it.

My Teeth Are Pretty (Now)

Posted in Life, School

I just went to the dentist. I haven’t been in a really long time, and since I have to pay for the YFS Health and Dental Plan at the beginning of every school year anyway, I thought I should take advantage of it and get my teeth checked out. Turns out I didn’t have any cavities (I honestly thought I had one in every tooth.. T_T). I’m a bit wary of dentists though. Oh well, now I have clean and healthy teeth, and I don’t have to go back for another year.

And I’m finally done my third year of university! That last exam of mine went well (I think). It was for linguistics, and turned out easy enough. It felt a bit anticlimactic after the studying I did. I think my prof tried to be a little tricky though, but I saw through it!

My Shakespeare exam two weeks ago, however, was a pain. Three full hours of writing like my life was about to end. Why did I decide to major in English? Even if the brain manages to spit out a couple of nicely argumentative essays in under three hours, the hand cannot keep up. I feel sorry for my TA. She’s the one who has to destroy her eyes trying to read my writing. It’s small and spiky and perfectly illegible.

Traveling

Posted in Photo, School, Sitely

A new layout! I edited the Arcsin theme because (a) I can’t code to save my sister’s life, and, (b) I really liked the bottom. But I gave it a narrower post width so it looks like I post long entries, even though I don’t. Hah. Anyway, this is a view similar to the one I see when I walk home from work at night. In reality, it’s more of a lone building on the right, rather than a city. But, for the most part, it’s similar enough.

It’s spring! We had wonderful weather this whole week! It’s so nice that my cherry tree has started to blossom:

In a week or so, all the branches will be fluffy and white. It smells really nice too.

Anyway, I have one more exam this Friday, and then, summer break!~ But I’ll probably be working lots. *sigh* That’s what I’ve been doing all last week. Plus, it’s why I don’t have anything to blog about.

10 Random Facts

Posted in Rambling

I’ve been tagged by Ivy!

Here’s how to play:

Once you’ve been tagged you have to write a blog with 10 weird, random facts, habits, or goals about yourself — at the end choose 5 people to be tagged. Don’t forget to leave them a comment saying “You’re It!” and to go read your blog. You cannot tag the person that tagged you.

  • My favourite word is manipulate, mostly because of the nasty connotations associated with it.
  • I like sleeping a full ~9.75 hours every night. For the most part, I’ve managed to do so all throughout high school, and 3 years of post-secondary (and counting).
  • I hate being woken up. I don’t know how this started, but I’ve woken myself up since I was at least 6.
  • I speak very fast, most of the time. It’s probably because I’m mostly quiet, so when I speak, it just all tumbles out.
  • I haven’t followed a TV show (as in, every tuesday, 9pm, etc.) since grade 11 or 4 years ago, because my work schedule changes and makes it a hassle.
  • My favourite season is summer, but my favourite month is December. Summer because it’s wonderfully warm and sunny. And December because it’s my birthday month, lol.
  • I am an English Literature Major, but I focus more on English literary theory. I like looking at how language manipulates lives.
  • I am a closet cosplayer! Haha, not really. I’ve only made two costumes when I went with some friends to conventions. However, I am too poor and unskilled to go all out. But I think it’s the making, rather than the cosplaying that interests me.
  • That being said, I really like sewing. I used to make clothes for my doll… lots of clothes.
  • I love making jigsaw puzzles. In fact, I enjoy most puzzles, it’s just that jigsaw puzzles are one of my favourites.

That took forever. I’m supposed to tag 5 people, but since I’ve been so inactive, and most of my blogging buddies too, I shall say that whoever has a bit of time and interest in writing 10 random facts of themselves, feel free to do so. =)

Tammy is Luved <3

This spot on the web houses an infrequently updated journal, of sorts. Although time constraints, or perhaps, motivation leads to its general inactivity, I am still very happy that you have stumbled upon it! I have been hosted by the wonderful Pat since October 25, 2006.
